Hantverkshuset Burgsvik Non-Profit Association has become a gathering and meeting place in southern Gotland for both permanent residents and seasonal residents, as well as many tourists. Art exhibitions, a pottery workshop with try-your-hand-at-throwing, a music café with an open stage, dance, and a café with ”homemade” attract many visitors to Hantverkshuset.

The project description emphasizes that a shop/showroom where artisans, artists, and smaller food producers can showcase and sell their products would benefit their sales year-round. The purpose of the feasibility study is to work together with the target group (artisans, artists, and smaller food producers) to investigate conditions and develop a model for an implementation project for a shop/showroom in Hantverkshuset.
