My name is Matilda Werkelin and I have recently taken on the role of junior project manager in Leader Gute's inheritance fund project ”Young vitality collaboration”.
I am 19 years old and graduated this spring, and see this as a valuable opportunity to both develop my own skills and at the same time contribute to an important project for Gotland's youth and associations.
I play bowling in Stånga IF and am also a substitute in the Culture and Leisure Committee. Through these two factors, I have gained insight into how significant community, participation, and the opportunity to influence are – especially for young people.
I chose to apply for the position of junior project manager because I want to help create more opportunities for young people to realize their ideas, take space, and feel involved in the development of the association and cultural life in Gotland. For me, it is important that young voices are heard and taken into account, and I look forward to contributing to strengthening that work.
My hope is that through this project I will meet many people, build new experiences, and contribute to long-term results that make a real difference!
Regards, Matilda
