cultivation and processing of fruit in Gotland

In this project, the association Sörmlandsäpplen, in collaboration with local businesses, wants to give the fruit industry on the island the opportunity to grow and develop.

About the project

The project will create a network for collaboration and exchange of experiences and offer knowledge and skills development within the fruit industry in Gotland – both in cultivation and processing.

The goal is to expand the fruit industry (number of rural businesses working with fruit in some form) on the island. In this way, the project contributes both to strengthening Gotland's self-sufficiency and crisis preparedness, and to enhancing Gotland's brand and attractiveness as a tourist destination and food destination.
