”Young vitality in collaboration” will build bridges between young people's ideas and enabling associations in Gotland's rural areas. The youth square at the Harvest Festival will be part of this work.
Programs and content at the youth square have been developed by the project's young action group, with Emilia Thomasson, 16 years old from Lye and David Boman 19 years old from Fårösund as the main responsible.
– At the square, young people will have the opportunity to choose different trial activities, meet engaged associations and actors, and join the project's youth network, explains Ottilia Söderström, project manager for Young vitality in collaboration.
By joining the project's youth network, young people between 12 and 25 years old can make their voices heard and gain the tools to realize their ideas – together with other young people or associations in the island's rural areas.
”Young vitality in collaboration” also works to support associations in including young people and creating stronger collaboration between young and adults.

David Boman and Emilia Thomasson from ”Young vitality in collaboration” discuss the setup at the youth square with Patrik Gardelin, Sofie Lindström, and Mikael Nilsson from the Gutnisk Sports Association.
Discuss ideas and test activities at the youth square
The associations and actors present at the youth square will both capture young people's ideas and suggestions and offer them to try different activities.
At The Gutnisk Sports Association one can try Gutnisk sports. In addition, there will be Gutnisk competitions at Lammhagen – on Saturday after lunch, there will be pole vaulting, and on Sunday after lunch, a triathlon with running in kämp (running), long throwing with varpa, and herre på stang as the final.
The Motor Yard and Amor youth center in Roma has an airbrush station where you can bring your own clothes and design with color. Here you can also create your own vinyl stickers. In addition, there is a furnished chill area for youth hangouts, etc.
At Good Linedance you can learn and try linedance and together with DBF (Democracy for Children's Future) there will be Afrobeats on Saturday afternoon.
Young culture Gotland (Region Gotland) focuses on teaching how to become a sharp DJ. Visitors can try DJing and get tips from two experienced and well-known DJs. On Saturday afternoon, it will be DJ Louis Blanco, and on Sunday afternoon, DJ Anton Vanderpuije will take over.
With The Scouts – Equmenia East you can try scout activities, including sleeping bag jumping. The Leisure Bank organizes pop-up rentals and trial activities.
If you want to try different role-playing and board games, there is Shadows of the East on site with a long line of exciting games.
At the square, Young vitality in collaboration will also have an information table where young people can learn more about the project's activities and upcoming events.

Here, the youth square is organized during the Harvest Festival at Gotland Green Center on September 6–7! Ottilia Söderström, project manager for ”Young vitality in collaboration”, hopes that many young people will take the chance and visit the square. Both in the outdoor area and in the barn in the background, there will be a buzz of life during the festival.
