Leader Gute is looking for project administrators

We are looking for you with good administrative experience, interest in problem-solving, and commitment to local initiatives that want to make a difference for Gotland's rural areas!

Leader Gute is an association that works with rural development through the leader method and grants small and large project support to organizations from all three sectors. The leader method is used throughout the EU and is based on the idea that local development is most effectively and sustainably carried out by those who live and operate in an area, as well as when the private, non-profit, and public sectors work together. The association is led by a board consisting of rural-interested representatives from the three sectors. The operations are financed by the EU, the Swedish state, and Region Gotland.

Tasks

You will have contact with project-seeking organizations from all three sectors that are applying for or already running various projects, as well as the Agricultural Agency's administrators. You act as somewhat of a local intermediary for project seekers in the application and payment process for both large and small projects. Your main tasks are to process incoming applications efficiently so that the association's board receives complete documentation in good time before project decisions, and that the application can then be processed by the Agricultural Agency. Your tasks also include processing so-called “mini-projects,” i.e., smaller projects that are applied for and paid directly by Leader Gute to primarily smaller project-experienced actors, and which the association then requests from the Agricultural Agency.

In your role, you call and hold kickoff meetings with project owners and follow up on approved projects. You collect data for evaluation and regularly produce reports for financial and goal follow-up. You also apply for projects and project requests from the Agricultural Agency on behalf of Leader Gute.

Your tasks also include informing about the opportunities to apply for support and guiding applicants in shaping their applications, both based on the leader method and with regard to finances, current regulations, the association's strategy, and conditions for support. You also participate in the work with the association's communication and contribute to producing informational materials.

You will work in a small creative and solution-focused team in close collaboration with both the operations manager and the communicator. The operations manager and you discuss and review project applications and provide important support to each other in the work.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with good experience in processing at an authority, with the ability to interpret and apply routines and regulations. It is particularly meritorious if you have recent experience in processing support related to any of the EU's structural and investment funds, such as the Agricultural Agency, County Administrative Board, or another government authority. You have a university education or other training or experience that the employer assesses as relevant to the tasks.

You have good experience in following detailed routines and documenting work via e-services, Excel, and other systems. You have good knowledge of public administration, confidentiality, record-keeping, and archiving. Knowledge of private administration is an asset, as well as knowledge of EU programs, various forms of support, and accounting. Experience in finance, bookkeeping, etc. is meritorious.

It is important that you enjoy working in a team but can also take significant personal responsibility and carry out tasks individually. As a person, you are very meticulous, structured, solution-focused, and responsible. You have good collaboration skills and patience.

You have a good sense of service and experience in handling inquiries from the public, as well as providing guidance and supplementary contact with representatives whose cases you are processing. We are looking for a person who is engaged, attentive, unpretentious, responsible, proactive, and enjoys challenges. You are not afraid to face problems – and enjoy figuring out solutions.

The position requires flexibility and contact with Gotland's rich association life, as well as work and meetings with Leader Gute's board. This entails work during the day, evenings, and weekends. Travel within the assignment is required, including nationally. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Employment

We apply a probationary period of 6 months. The position includes wellness benefits, occupational pension, and collective agreements via Fremia. The workplace is the association's office at Gotland Grönt Centrum in Roma. Remote work to some extent can be discussed but is based on the needs and possibilities of the work. A driver's license and personal car for business trips are required.
