Develop
your place
on earth

Do you want to develop your village on Gotland? Then your association, company or organization can apply for financial support from Leader Gute. Our support is aimed at locally led development projects that benefit many in the village.

Read more about our two different types of support below!

Project support – for larger development projects

This support is for larger development projects with broad support and benefits in a rural area. The form of support places high demands on applications and reporting.

NOTE! Currently, there are only limited funds available for project support:

  • Within ”General Project Support” There is a total of 500,000 SEK left to apply for one or more projects with different project owners.
  • Within the call for proposals ”Rural companies” There is a total of 600,000 SEK left to apply for (two grants of a maximum of 300,000 SEK).

For those of you who have received preliminary studies with a lump sum approval, there is a link to the final report.

Support for mini-projects – for smaller but important efforts

The support is aimed at smaller projects that provide local development in Gotland's rural areas. Mini-projects are divided into different themes for associations and companies. It is possible to apply for support within each theme as long as there is money left - "first come, first served". New themes are added continuously. The supports are usually between SEK 15,000 and 40,000. This form of support has a simpler application and faster decisions than our larger project support.

Locally led development

How the leader method works

Leader Gute's operations and our support are based on the Leader method. The core of the method is that local development should be driven by those who live and work in the area.
