Right now, it is possible to apply for Leader Gute's support for mini-projects within seven current themes. Here you can read about who received support granted during November and December. Perhaps they can provide inspiration for applications from your association or your company?
The following 13 applications were granted support for mini-projects by Leader Gute's Decision Committee on November 22 and December 12:
- Coompanion Gotland (Competence development vouchers) 24,800 kronor for training in project management.
- Lokrume Community Center Association (Energy savings for meeting places) 24,000 kronor for air heat pump.
- Gotland's Agricultural Museum (Energy savings for meeting places) 18,554 kronor for the purchase and installation of LED tubes to replace older fixtures.
- The Community Center Association Sjöviksgården (Energy savings for meeting places) 24,000 kronor for air heat pump.
- Linde Schoolhouse Association (Energy savings for meeting places) 24,000 kronor for dismantling of older tube fixtures and installation of new LED–fixtures including tubes, and purchase of LED bulbs for to replace older bulbs. (The building can be seen in the photo above!)
- Västergarn's Local Heritage Association (Energy savings for meeting places) 23,625 kronor for air heat pump.
- Bäl Community Association (Energy savings for meeting places) 23,800 kronor for air heat pump.
- The Körsbärsgården Foundation Pedagogy (Strengthen the tourism industry in your area – businesses) 32,802 kronor for knowledge exchange with museums in rural areas – study trip to Värmland.
- Arve Garden (Strengthen the tourism industry in your area – businesses) 39,900 kronor for a study trip about fruit cultivation in fruit-growing districts in southern Germany including the Fruchtwelt Bondensee fair.
- KUNO (Strengthen the tourism industry in your area – associations) 23,520 kronor for the development of a new graphic profile.
- GGC AB (Environmentally sustainable entrepreneurship) 40,000 kronor to develop sustainable local nature tourism with a consultant and workshop and investigate the possibility of a nature tourism education in Gotland.
- Matilda's Garden AB (Environmentally sustainable entrepreneurship) 39,900 kronor for knowledge and competence development in cultivation and processing of fruit, and how fruit can be used as a motive for the tourism industry – study trip to fruit-growing districts in southern Germany including the Fruchtwelt Bondensee fair.
- Studio Suderbruket (Environmentally sustainable entrepreneurship) 21,000 kronor for product development of sustainable fashion made from recycled textiles and produced in Gotland.

Currently, it is possible to apply for mini-support for the following themes:
- Living rural areas pre-studies
The purpose of this support is to develop pre-studies in the form of ”smart rural strategies” based on a template developed by Leader Gute. The goal is to provide rural areas, communities, and places with help to collectively meet the social, environmental, and economic challenges that exist. The support is 15,000 – 40,000 kronor including any and is aimed at associations, development companies, or equivalent.
- Strengthen the tourism industry in your area – associations
This support is 15,000 – 24,000 kronor including any VAT and is intended to strengthen the tourism industry in Gotland's rural areas through non-profit/public benefit activities. The support is aimed at associations, development companies, economic associations/foundations that represent the public interest or equivalent and can for example go to guide training, informational materials and marketing of the rural area attractions/service.
- Young Sustainable Rural Entrepreneurs
The support is aimed at businesses in Gotland's rural areas run by people who are 25 years old or younger. The purpose of the support is to strengthen young people's sustainable entrepreneurship in rural areas through project form. The requested amount should finance 70% of the project. The support amount can be between 15,000 – 40,000 kronor including any VAT per project. The support does not cover primary production. It cannot be used for salaries or ongoing operations.
- Strengthen the tourism industry in your area – businesses
This support should contribute to local businesses developing products and services that strengthen the tourism industry in Gotland's rural areas. The requested amount should finance 70% of the project. The support amount can be between 15,000 – 40,000 kronor including any VAT per project. The support cannot cover salaries or ongoing operations.
- Energy savings for meeting places
Aimed at associations and development companies or equivalent in the island's rural areas. It is possible to apply for 15,000 – 24,000 kronor including any VAT. The support can, for example, go to training and consulting efforts that lead to lower energy consumption at the meeting place. Or the purchase of energy-saving products and/or labor efforts.
- Environmentally sustainable entrepreneurship
Aimed at businesses with operations in the island's rural areas and can, for example, go to training and skills development in environmental sustainability. The requested support amount should finance 70% of the project (the rest own financing). The support amount can be 15,000 – 40,000 kronor including any VAT but does not cover not primary production. The support cannot cover salaries or ongoing operations.
- Competence development checks
Aimed at associations and development companies or equivalent in the island's rural areas. The support should be used to increase competence in project and process management within the organization and is 15,000 – 40,000 kronor including any VAT.
