Apply for support for valuable learning for your rural association!

Is your association active in Gotland's rural areas? Then you can apply for support to become even better at running local projects! Leader Gute's competence development vouchers can be used to fund qualified training in process and project management. Here, Nanna at Körsbärsgården and Pia at Vuxenskolan share what the voucher and training have meant for them.

Competence development checks are a theme within Leader Gute's support for mini-projects. The checks are aimed at associations and development companies or equivalents in the island's rural areas. The support is to be used to increase competence in project and process management within the organization and is 15,000 – 40,000 kronor including any VAT.

Körbärsgården in Sundre has applied for and been granted a competence development check from Leader Gute.

 – Our competence development check was used for an intensive course in leadership and project management – five days in Malmö, says Nanna Nore, art educator at Körsbärsgården.

– I have learned, among other things, how incredibly important communication is in projects. And that different phases in a project require different leadership, says Nanna.

– Cultural organizations are often partially funded by project support, so I see a great benefit in acquiring this competence.

The Study Association Vuxenskolan Gotland has also been given the opportunity for training in project management through Leader Gute's training checks.

– I took a project management course at Gotlandsakademin for three days last spring. Here we went through the ”tools” of project management, had exchanges of experience, and there was time to reflect, says Pia Hederstedt, business developer at Vuxenskolan.

– The training is beneficial in my organization and role as more and more activities are carried out as projects with a start and an end. With the training, I become better at supporting associations in their engagements and at leading projects within Vuxenskolan myself, believes Pia.
