Well-attended After Work meetings for information, dialogue, and idea discussions about local development have been held in the spring at four locations: Fårösund, Stenkyrka, Hemse, and Roma.
Additionally, an AW meeting about Gotland's blue industries in connection with Fish Day in Ronehamn on June 1.
In February, Ottilia Söderström I started as a project employee within We rural builders in Gotland to lead the special initiative for youth in the island's rural areas – ”Young vitality.”.
Three reference groups with young people who want to organize activities and events in Gotland's rural areas have been formed. The three reference groups focus on culture, technology & vehicles, and green industries.
During the spring, an inspiration meeting was organized at Etelhem's pottery in May and an Epa-dunk in Roma at the beginning of June. And at the Harvest Festival on September 7–8, there will be street art with graffiti painting and a concert with The Hugos from Klintehamn.
We rural builders in Gotland have also participated in the closing conference for the EU project ”Smart Rural 27” in Brussels, the EU conference on blue circular economy ”2nd Mission Arena” in Riga, and the Rural Parliament in Nyköping.
