Detta projektstöd ska bidra till bygga ett tryggt, öppet och aktivt samhälle för invånare och besökare på Gotlands landsbygder.
Ansökande/projektägare ska vara en organisation/förening med allmännyttig verksamhet på landsbygden, och ha god administrativ förmåga samt likviditet som täcker cirka 45 % av projektets kostnader.
The project must also have a broad local anchoring in one or more rural areas and be carried out in local collaboration.

Project focus:
Ett gott och inkluderande lokalsamhälle. Projekt inom detta insatsområde ska bidra till exempelvis bättre arbetsvillkor, ökad livskvalitet och stärkt platsutveckling. Projektet ska också verka för inkludering, jämställdhet och likabehandling. Hållbarhet i social, ekonomisk och ekologisk mening ska beaktas.
Anchoring and collaboration. Projektet ska bygga på underifrånperspektiv, och bygga på tydlig lokal förankring och samverkan. Det betyder att det ska finnas ett dokumenterat brett behov eller önskemål gällande projektet och dess mål blad dem som bor och verkar området eller områdena. Detta kan göras t.ex. genom möten eller lokal enkäter.
There also needs to be a documented collaboration plan for the implementation of the project. For example, through agreements or minutes that show that collaboration will indeed take place.
Not regular activities. The support must not apply to an association/organization's regular or ongoing activities – the project should involve some form of new initiative.
Implementation capacity. To be able to make a correct application and report during the project's implementation and conclusion, it is required that the project owner has very good administrative capacity. Competent resources are needed primarily in project management and finance. These resources can be within the organization or hired on a consultancy basis. There needs to be allocated funds for these personnel resources in the project's budget.

Here are some examples of what you can do within a project that can receive this support:
- Skapa bättre arbetsvillkor för dem som bor och verkar i ett eller flera landsbygdsområden, genom analys och utvecklingsarbete för lokal gemensam arbetsplats och nya lösningar för hållbar samtransport till/från arbete.
- Verka för ökad livskvalitet med hjälp av studiebesök/inspirationsinhämtning och utformning av inkluderande lokala kultur- och fritidsaktiviteter.
- Stärkt lokal platsutveckling genom analys/strategiarbete och förbättringsåtgärder för göra platsen mer attraktiv för besökare och boende.
- Skapa och utveckla mötesplatser via inventering/utvärdering av befintliga mötesplatser/behov av nya – och forma en plan för framtida mötesplatser.
- Stärka lokalt demokratiskt samtal genom att skapa platser och evenemang där lokalt boende träffas över olika typer av gränser och diskuterar områdets framtid och utveckling.
The size of the project support:
Projektstöd Leva och bo på hela ön söks utifrån projektets behov. Stödsumman kan variera upp till max cirka en miljon kronor. Leader Gutes styrelse tar ställning till sökt belopp i varje enskild ansökan. Projektstödet kan finance 40 – 100% of the project's budget.
Under vissa förhållanden kan även företag söka Projektstöd Leva och bo på hela ön. Då måste projektet ha en tydligt bred nytta för det lokala området och involvera flera andra lokala aktörer. I dessa fall kan stödet sättas till max 90% av projektets budgeterade kostnader – om det antas att projektet kan bidra till framtida vinstmöjligheter för det sökande företaget.
NOTE! Project support from Leader Gute cannot be combined with other EU funds.
Requirements for liquidity and rules for disbursement:

Support is paid out afterwards after approved interim and final reports.

It is primarily about shaping a project that fits the leader method and Leader Gute's strategy.
The actual application is then made in the Swedish Board of Agriculture's E-service.
Thereafter, Leader Gute's board assesses the application and finally the Swedish Board of Agriculture makes a decision on support.
During the implementation and conclusion of the project, reports and applications for payments must be submitted to the Swedish Board of Agriculture.
